BATIDA AT THE FESTIVAL OF TEATRO PAIDÉIA, SÃO PAULO

From September 26th to 29th, São Paulo hosts the 11th edition of the Paideia International Theater Festival for Children and Youth

The Danish group Batida is one of the attractions that appear in the Paulo Eiró Theater and in the own headquarters of Paidéia in the district of Santo Amaro.

The proposal of the Danish Cultural Institute is to intensify exchanges between the two cultures and to be a platform for the development of mutual cooperation actions in the fields of theater, music, dance, film and visual arts and once again as partner of the Paidéia Festival.

This year’s attraction is BATIDA – a traditional Danish collective composed of a professional team of actors and musicians. The group developed a unique and interactive theatrical style and, over 30 years, created a wide range of shows for all age groups. The group occupies a former factory building in Copenhagen. During its trajectory the group Batida crossed more than forty different countries.

Synopsis

A concert is about to begin when one of the members of the orchestra “Sweet Seven Magic” calls the maestro and says, that he will not be able to attend. The only one who keeps the commitment is the less talented musician who only understands football and food. But what appeared to be the recipe for disaster ends surprisingly with a song from the small village of Libovich.
